I bought this machine over 6 years ago. I like to run my engine driven anyway I have never used it and I just got around to hooking it up tonight. It works perfectly other than when I am on DC it will not weld (wont strike an arc period) in the 105 115 setting but will weld perfectly in the 95 (below) and 125. I am wondering if maybe that is where the switch was sitting still for so long it might have something glazed in the contact area? I need some help with where to start looking.
Reply:Sounds like you figured it out! Take the thing apart and clean the connections on the selector switch. Bet your good to go after that. I just refurbed an AEAD 200LE that had been sitting for 10 yrs, that switch was gunked up bad! She purr's real good now.AEAD 200LE, Lincoln precision tig 185, Millermatic 251, Spectrum 625 extreme, Victor torch , Smithy 1220LTD. and Do all C-4 band saw , Always adding. |
