Well, I got this new welder. And it's kinda heavy. Soooo.... I thought it would be nice to build something with wheels on it that would make the thing easier to move around. I started out with some more free steel that I scrounged at work.... and an old boat trailer I got for nothingIt turned out that the whole frame was sprung/twisted and anything that wasn't galvanized was completely rotted from the salt water. This is what I ended up with. The springs also got discarded, but I saved the mounts.Next post...Work HARDER, not smarter! ------------------------ Miller Bobcat 250Millermatic 251Lincoln Precision TIG 185Hypertherm PM 600Hobart 135 HandlerOxweld 400 FlameMaster

I had just done him a favor so he told me to throw them in the back of my truck... score! I bought new hubs ($25 each) and swapped em out.Look Ma, new shoes!Next post...Work HARDER, not smarter! ------------------------ Miller Bobcat 250Millermatic 251Lincoln Precision TIG 185Hypertherm PM 600Hobart 135 HandlerOxweld 400 FlameMaster

Reply:That purlin worked out pretty good looks like. So you put the spring hangers and slip on a seperate bracket then bolted that to the frame work. Interesting idea, I like it. Fenders and all can go on there. That could make an axle swap or replacement go on quick.
