Ok, here it goes, How come you can mig weld aluminum with DC but you can't DC alum with a tig?LOL, no flame please

Reply:In AC there are to DC currents DCEP AND DCEN. DCEP is the 1/2 side of the AC sine wave that cleans the aluminum Oxides. That is why you use ACHF for Tig alum. On Mig use DCEP (+) for the cleaning. JohnSMAW,GMAW,FCAW,GTAW,SAW,PAC/PAW/OFCand Shielding Gases. There all here. :
