Just wondering if anyone had any experience with one of these. Ive used a 250 and a 275, liked them both. Been noticing a lot of 280's popping up. Anyone know how they match up with the old 250s or newer 275's?
Reply:I too would like to know. I am thinking about buying one as well. What is the best price you have seen ? $1785 shipped so far
Reply:thats about as cheap as Ive seen them. Just hard to bite on something unproven.
Reply:I hear ya on that. That is my one issue I have about pulling the trigger on a ESAB. I keep looking at a miller 252 for a few hundred more. Just torn which way to go
Reply:Esab makes some good machines. the 250 is tried and true. Ive seen some used ones on ebay for around a grand. Just ain't found one close enough to justify the drive.

Reply:i have never use a 280 but the 260 has been a good mig , even to the point one day welding wide open andheard a arc flash, and weldr quit. loose connection inside burn off transformer ,tig on new end and is still going today, for the 280 if you compare specs sheets there is no that much dif, welders get a little excited when there is just a little more power.
Reply:I just picked up a migmaster 280. I can say I love it. I love the inductance control for the arc as well. For the price point at $1800 shipped, I could not beat it. I've even tried welding really thing stuff 24 g, and its fine for such a big machine.
Reply:Hi, I just purchased a 280. I paid a little more than you. Would you mind sharing where you purchased your welder? |
