I built this thing last Winter. I suppose some of y'all remember it (took 20 threads to complete)First real workout today, and it performed very well.Built a large pile for the initial burn to generate a coal bed. Ron, the dude that's helping me, is in the pic for scale. I used to build piles 3 times this size, and it was dangerousFed the pile for the rest of the day with a few trees at a time. The long reach makes it pretty safe, and convenient. The hydraulic cylinder which articulates the forks doesn't get hot because the new trees shield it from the intense heat for a bit.Maybe another 7 days to burn the trees that have been cut. I think we made it thru 80 trees in 4 hours then the wind picked up, and that was the end of the story.I BURNT MY REALLY COOL ORANGE PAINT!!!!!!Thank you DDA52 for suggesting that I start burning trees while green instead of waiting until they've fully dried. Made for a safer burn because there were no hot embers going up in the updraft from the fire. Thanks Don Attached Images"Any day above ground is a good day"http://www.farmersamm.com/
