Newbie to board

Been lurking on the board for a while...went through almost all the previos posts and figured it was time to register and post something.  Got my first welder 6yrs ago from a friend that found it in a hidden room of his newly purchased beach house.  It was still new in the box...from what I found almost 20+ years old.  Self taught on scrap and researching off the internet.  Not a professional mainly for farm and house/hobby...still learning but consider myself 75-80% on my way there.The welder is a Wards Powr-Kraft 295, I currently have it sitting on a powerwasher cart since it is a little larger the size of a tombstone welder and I have to drag it outside to weld (no shop currently).  A/C Stick only, hi for 6013 only and low for everything else.  It works for me till I can convience the wife to let me have a wire fed...this one does everything that I have asked...but everyone ravs about the ease of the others compared to stick.Recently purchased a Hypertherm 30 plasma to cut metal instead of going with an Oxy/Act setup.  Guys never show your wife/gf how much fun your having...the first day I got to use it for 30 min...she was playing with it for 3 hours.  I have some other projects that I am finishing and will post some pics once I am donelog splitter (given to me) but put it onto a truck frame for transporting and working at a decent height, 1/2 in thick tube bbq smoker will have to weld it shut and recut it with plasma (straight lines instead of 12 pack wavy lines) have to also replace the burnt out firebox.I have done lots of little repairs but still working on mastering the layered perfect look...I get plenty of penetration but the look can sometimes be less than desirable.  Here is a pic of my welder and my zuki bumper to help push deer (crappy looking welds) but they are solid just havn't had the time to finish it...projects always seem to stack up Attached Images
Reply:bumper is drillstem with some other heavy pipe I pilfered from someones trash...Welder has 100 ft of cord but only 10 ft of leads. Attached Images

Reply:That is one seriously diesel A** bursh bar! I hear you when you say dont show the woman how much fun you have, whenever i need to do some welding work when the gf is around she doesnt put the mig gun down. and whenever i get home from school i realize my little sister has drained out my argon bottles and used up half of my stick rods welding scrap together haha. dont even get me started on the oxy/acet torch.
