I picked this Syncrowave 250 today.. I'm gonna clean it up do a little "bodywork" and re-paint it back blue... I got a sister to this one a few years back from the same guy... I needed a project to work so I talked him out of this.... Here is also a pic of the one I already cleaned up and re-painted... What do you think one of these would be worth?Last edited by jmink427; 01-10-2012 at 08:35 PM.
Reply:Did you use Miller blue or Ford engine blue?
Reply:if you needed a project you could have set about taking all the crap off the first one..
Reply:Those look pretty cool. I can't wait to move out of the apartment world so that I can get my own machine and start working on some things on my own. Ha, those blues seem pretty similar, don't they?Do what it takes to get the job done right.

Reply:As far as what it's worth, $1800 - $2500 depending on age, options and so on going on what I've seen people asking for them..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Reply:[QUOTE=jmink427;660721There will be no Ford blue in my shop!![/QUOTE] Can't blame you there, sharp looking '66 Impala there. Don't want that "new" machine to require "Fix Or Repair Daily" after you do all the work to restore it.
Reply:Did that green one come from Sunbelt Rentals? The green looks a little dark, but maybe it's just the pic."Where's Stick man????????" - 7A749"SHHHHHH!! I sent him over to snag that MIC-4 while tbone wasn't looking!" - duaneb55"I have bought a few of Tbone's things unlike Stick-Man who helps himself" - TozziWelding"Stick-man"

Reply:I think welders have a magnetic top... it seems everyone who comes to my shop to "help" immediately decides that all wrenches, pliars etc. should be tossed on top of the wleder... as if it was a shop table?I am thinking of putting stips of non skid tape on mine. I don't have a cover but I do use heavy bath towels over them when not in use. It is very dusty here so hopefully that helps a little. Sail Blue is a nice color, I've used it.  Ford Tractor Blue is one shade darker, and available iin quarts or rattle cans where Ford Tractor parts are sold.  Not as pretty as Regal Red but it'll doLast edited by PapaLion; 01-12-2012 at 07:40 AM.Lincoln Power MIG 215Lincoln WeldPak 3200HDLincon ProCut 25Lincoln WeldanPower 225 AC/DCIf all else fails... buy more tools
Reply:Well at least it looks a little better....This to............this..
Reply:I have used the Rustoleum "Sail Blue" quite often.  It's a little brighter than Miller blue, but it's pretty close. Originally Posted by SundownIIIDon't get me wrong.  They are just as ill informed about politics as they are about welding, they just post more on that subject.
