just got my tank of argon and was trying to set it up to my Clarke 180EN 220Volt MIG using 100% argon for aluminum.heres a link to my welder and regulator so you know just what i have. for better responces...http://store.weldingdepot.com/cgi/we...WE6524P-1.htmlnow...the problem im having.i open the tank barely with the knob turned all the way to the right, wich i think means closed. POOF, pops the hose off. OK, turn in the other way. good. i guess leaft is closed. wierd, but OK.next, i open the Argon bottle slightly. then the regulator. it shoots up past 30 liters/min. and there is air (gas), somehting, leaking from the regulator. but not from anywhere its threaded in. theres this little hole on the shaft leading to the knob to adjust the pressure. and i cant lower the liter/min at all...i have been told to keep it at 12-15. whats the deal???sorry its so long...need some HELP!!!thanks in advance!oh...and does anyone use Clarke? whats your opinions on them?
