which TIG Torch is worth using?

Errr... right...I am given four new TIG torch and wonder which is a better one to keep I get only to choose one... I am forced into TIG welding... did very little on this process and have to begin soon... I have some glove in the shack might be good to give it a try...1. TIGMASTER 9FV2. BlackGold R 17V3. BlackGold with the torch head seperate movable not bend4. Reply:If you are welding under 120 amps I would keep the #9. The 17 is a 150 amd torch. and a bit larger. Not as easy to hold.And all the components for the # 9 will fit a #20 250 amp water cooled torch if you step up to a water cooler. Also if you are going to be doing much alu, the 17 air cooled would be a better choice.Why not keep them all? Reply:Thanks for the info... upgrading the torch to water cooled is just for better duty cycle? Will this increase my performance in the mid amp rate 120-150 Amp? or this strictly for 250-300 amp?There are around 20 torch in the logistic nightmare storage facilities... Reply:Good Day:The water cooled torches by themselves will not really improve your beads. That said they will help if you have smaller hands (like myself) due to the smaller body size. Another plus of a water torch, longer beads won't burn your hands. I have a 17(air) series I use when I am mobile and use a 20(water) when I am at my shop, needless to say I do as much at the shop as possible.
Reply:I search the forum but couldnt find TIG torch V26 TIGMASTER... I wonder if this piece cant be use in all TIG machine? or can I put an upgrade to it for water cooled? I chosen this cause its bigger and look tough... I know V20 is 250 amp but V26 mean what? Reply:There was first Linde and then Weldcraft, a copy.  HW is linde or now ESAB and WP is weldcraft.  17, 18 and 26 torches have the same internal parts.  Either of these companies can give you a breakdown of all the different type torches.  JohnSMAW,GMAW,FCAW,GTAW,SAW,PAC/PAW/OFCand Shielding Gases.  There all here. :
