Reply:Well for this project you might be best served by just going to a spring shop and telling them what they want and what your going to do with it.    Shouldn't be to much money less than $100 for sure depending on where your located it might be $35.Vantage 500's LN-25's, VI-400's, cobramatics, Miller migs, synch 350 LX, Powcon inverters, XMT's, 250 Ton Acurrpress 12' brake, 1/4" 10' Atlantic shear,Koikie plasma table W/ esab plasmas. marvel & hyd-mech saws, pirrana & metal muncher punches.
Reply:Got a little more rough work done, Not squared up yet and again everything is just tacked enough to hold shape. And the rails are 14" apart right now but i'm gonna move then in to 12" Oh and sorry for the ****ty pics all i had was my phone. Here learning to turn down the Suck...
Reply:So after checking with my reference guide "How to build a t-bucket roadster for under $3000" And this being a 1/3 scale the rear spacing is 12" and the front before the bend 10 3/4". So I'm glad i'm only tacking.  Btw i highly recommend that book. you can get a used paperback from Amazon for about $180.00 Or download the e-book for $10 from tbucketplans.comHere learning to turn down the Suck...
Reply:So i got the frame squared up, and then welded everything down. Ground down and cleaned up the welds. Some shots to get the idea and it helps me with lining up the hairpin mounds. and the leaf spring mounts on the front and rear.  Some old springs i had lying around to add to the effect...Ha!the wheels i'm gonna use One of my reasons for doing this is to get a idea of what i'm gonna need if and when ever i have the knowledge, ability, facility and equipment to build my own 30's coupe. I'm using this as a learning experience. After this is done  i'm gonna build up a dune buggy go-cart for myself built with the same theme, Probably with a snowblower engine or maybe a small dirtbike motor. Reply:Got a little more done: Made a mini leaf spring, seems to work. Maybe a little to stiff. Also got the front spindles started. Here learning to turn down the Suck...
Reply:Absolutely awesome. Can't wait to see the finshed project.
