Dog Bed

The wife asked me to make a dog bed . The dog is at the  same level as the bed. Here is a picture minus the plywood cover and beding. He likes it and we can sleep! He (Newton) is a 90-100 Black Lab. Reply:I made a bed for my dogs a while back and the cats loved it, dogs wouldn't have anything to do with it. I finally decided that I was going to have to live with them sleeping on the bed with us, one curled up at my feet and the other sprawled out between us. Reply:Ah dont get too worked up, im sure its just someone thats struck and arc and figures their a welder. I mean i have 6 different high pressure tickets that i have to maintain, maybe he can give me some pointers lol. And by the way very nice job on the dog bed, looks very professional, and nice looking dog!
Reply:The plywood is 29 x 39 and it sits 19" high.When my welds look 1/2 as good as Zaps I will post picturesNot the best picture (I got him in mid bark)Thanks for looking it was an easy fast build.The people bed is a double (smallest 2 person bed) so we needed room. Reply:Yeah, round the corners of the plywood.  Also, you are just relying on friction to hold the plywood to the metal frame?  Put some screws in from underneath or 'glue' it in place.  Don't want you or the dog to knock the plywood off.  The best laid schemes ... Gang oft agley ...

God he worked the hourDave ReberWadsworth Ohionice bed,  nice dog. I also built a dog bed for my 150 lb. great dane.  The idea was to keep him off of my bed, and it works. He loves it. Even put a filled foam bed on top with some pillows..all steel fabrication frame, with a plywood bottom and adjustable feet with rubber not to scratch the floors. He jumps up on it and it does not move at all. Attached Images
