Hi everyone this is my first stick welds after 20 yrs abit rough I guess. Any thoughts, sorry picture is not the best. I used 5/64 mild steel and 5/64 general purpose rods. Amperage was dc 30amps Attached Images

Reply:It's like riding a bicycle. It will all come back quickly. Looks pretty good for no practice in 20 years.
Reply:Thankyou for the feedback guys I will practise some more, the only question is the weld seems to start cold then by the end of the rod it seems hot almost melting a hole in it. Is this speed because I'm concentrating real hard to keep the same arc lenght for the whole rod thus why my welds are on an angle.After I get ok with the stick Ill flick the switch and do some tig that will be interesting I have never done that before but I was ok with O/A many yrs ago. Its fun melting metal again.
