Reply:That chart they post in the article doesn't seem to correspond with the conclusions that they're making. It shows that in 2010, Chinese workers were about 27% as efficient as americans, while getting paid about 56% as much. Then, the 2015 expected results show they'll become 41% as efficient and will be getting paid 61% as much. So, this means that their performance (relative to 2010) is going to increase by 51% while their wages are only going to increase 9%. I fail to see why that would scare manufacturers out of China...

Reply:Until manufacturing jobs are desirable and people that work with their hands are not looked down upon this countries economy will continue to decline. I dont think there is anyway around that. Just think what we accomplished during WW2 building tanks and ships out thin air. The American worker was a big part of winning that war. Think we could pull that off today? Americans just want to work in an office. They dont even want to walk, they drive their cars to go six blocks. Its just sad. No kids want to learn a trade and their parents teach them that dirty people are blue collar. WTFI think more an more a college education is going to be worth less and less. This because a consumer economy will not be able to support itself for very long. We are just seeing the beginning of the problems now. Think about it, once all of the manufacturing jobs are shipped over seas what are we going to do? How many office jobs are there and how are office jobs gonna make any money for our economy. If we dont start making stuff in this country again we will go down much farther.Welding everything, from the crack of dawn to a broken heart.
