I was tig welding some 16 gauge 304 SS today making a pan..... I couldn't get it to quit sugaring... I was back purging and it still looked like crap.... I have never had a issue like this welding 316 it always look great on the back side????? Any one else ever experienced anything like this????????

Reply:Argon is heavier than air, you should introduce argon at the lowest point and have an escape hole the same size as the inlet at the highest point, air can get mixed in if you do this wrong.Welding/Fab Pics: www.UtahWeld.com
