This isn't really a project but I had to share this pic I found on the boston.com "bigpicture" website. Am I the only one that got lightheaded at the thought of a store like this in my town? Attached ImagesI'm not a Engineer, I just play one on the weekend.

Reply:I was in China 2 years ago and that is what the local "steel store" looked like in every town I went to.  Shanghai had several a few blocks from each other.  You would love the one for stainless steel.  Tubular Steel is here in Saint Louis.  The racks are stacked 30 feet tall and take up a few city blocks.  From 1/4 inch square and round tube to larger than 24".  Every time I went there I wished I had more money and a bigger trailer.  They then started a new rule.. only orders $5000.00 or more.  But we have plenty of smaller steel yards for "smaller" orders.

Reply:Sad to say but it probably IS all trash steel. Not an ASTM rating to be had. I wouldn't use it in a car frame or roll cage but it'll make a heck of a work bench or BBQ smoker.I'm not a Engineer, I just play one on the weekend.
