I finally picked up a Dynasty 200dx not too long ago and I'm trying my luck with TIG. I'm planning on getting my shop wired for 220V, but it isn't yet so I've been running the 200dx off 110V. Couple questions/issues.Isn't the 200dx only capable of 150 amps output from a 110V outlet? The machine still allows me to go to a full 200 amps. I figured it would stop me at 150.The machine also blows the 20 amp (NEW) breaker only anything over 110-115 amps. Is there anything I can do to help prevent it from blowing the breaker up to 150 amps? It seems to do it at the most random times and it's very inconsistent. Thanks!
Reply:no, not really, it pulls something like 30 amps on 120v at 140a output, your over your breaker limit.get the 220 wired up and you will be fine.
Reply:As Drivethrough stated not much you can do-Unless you are on a dedicated 20amp Circuit the randomness may be from something else being on the same circuit.Ed Conleyhttp://www.screamingbroccoli.com/MM252MM211 (Sold)Passport Plus & Spool gunLincoln SP135 Plus- (Gone to a good home)Klutch 120v Plasma cutterSO 2020 benderBeer in the fridge
Reply:Didn't realize these thing pulled that many amps! I figured it would be utilized for a standard 20 amp 110V breaker. Looks like 220V is the way to go.
Reply:its in the manual, might want to to check it out.
Reply:I have a 110/220 Lincoln V155-S. I found the limit on 110 is the breaker. If I keep it low enough not to trip the breaker, it will weld all day.DavidReal world weldin. When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.

Reply:I run my Dyn on 110 quite a bit. On a standard 20 amp breaker yup you have to be lil gentle on her, but, running on a 30 amp you can pour the coal to it and run. 220 is the way to go with these machines and 208 3phase is even better |
