i went to the lws today and talked to the guy again about what im wanting to buy. im looking to buy the precision tig 225ready pack with the cart, a spare torch, the biggest bottle of argon,5lbs of cut length rod, extra cups, gas lenses, ect, and a lincoln autodark helmet. he gave me an out the door price of 2772.00. i sounds like a good deal to me as, other lws have quoted me 2400 for just the machine. what do you all think?
Reply:That's kinda high IMOCheck this:http://cgi.ebay.com/LINCOLN-PRECISIO...QQcmdZViewItemYes it's ebay auction, but that company is a stones throw away from me and their in house prices are the same as their auctions. A bottle, torch, gas lenses, cups, and 5lbs of wire doesn't warrant another $772 IMHO. This is just me...EDIT: I didn't see the hood... Depending which autodarkener that's actually not a bad price.Last edited by Kubs; 05-20-2008 at 10:59 PM.Miller Syncrowave 180SDMillermatic 175

Reply:Not sure if this helps you or not, but at the LWS I work at we have 3 of these left over from a Skills USA welding competition, these were brand new out of the box and have less than 3 arc hours on them. We got a deeper discount from Lincoln due to all the equipment we brought in for this competition, cost on these is $1,820.00 each. I can't do anything on the free freight that the internet house is offering, but can route these units around (at no freight charge) on our trucking system to the following states: Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Colorado, Oklahoma, South Dakota, and parts of North Dakota and Minnesota.Send me a pm if interested
Reply:My LWS sold me one for 2050 for ready pac, could of saved a few $$ if I shoped around, but I needed one that morning. Now as far as the other stuff, 250 helmet, 250-300 bottle of gas, 150-200 extra torch, 50-100 extra consumables, add it up. But dont froget one other thing...... Making a friend at the LWS....Priceless. His help will be worth it.
Reply:i was quoted just over 100 doll-hairs for the biggest tank, 250 for a vista 3000 helmet, he said $5 a lb for filler and around 40 for consumables.
Reply:i stopped by phoenix welding supply today. they want a few dollars more for the machine and helmet. as for the tank,well........................... they want almost 300 filled.Millermatic 211weldpack 3200 squirtgunsquare wave 200victory journeyman kitHypertherm 30xptoo much other crap to listtinkerer extraordinaire

Reply:Praxair on broadway and 101 has always been the best bargain for me, I would check them out too. Where is Ramsay welding supply?
Reply:Ramsay is based out of Glendale, but I go to the store in Phoenix.  I think it's Broadway and 38th street.  You know how it is, I can drive there, but I can't give you the address.  It's just west of the Copperstate Nut & Bolt on Broadway.  They're an independent distributor, but they carry Lincoln and Miller equipment, and they can get just about anything you need, including special order stuff.Jeff's the manager, he works his tail off for you, and Bruce, who works the counter, is a wealth of information.I r 2 a perfessional
