Reply:Once you try one...You will NEVER go back to green......zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:the gold lens in my old helmet is a cobalt blue ,puddle is  too, kinda wierd but soothing on the eyes or so it seems after a puff, although i use auto dark most of the time.FelonCaution lurker lives here" hmmm That is serious, pass the ganja and pick up a  24 of MGD"
Reply:The head gear on my Miller Elite finally died 100%... So I used the Jackson at work. It has a gold lens and  fantastic.Let me tell you. It opens up a whole new level of clarity....If only I could get a gold lens for my Elite... Or Hornell had them in their helmets....

Reply:farmersamm said"The old hood is a fixed shade isn't it? "Yes it is sam but it has a  chip in the side of it so may not be worth much money wise.My son has it right now at his garage shop ,says its cool to use.I think he was the culprit that chipped it but the statute of limitations is long gone by so he will have to live with itFelonCaution lurker lives here" hmmm That is serious, pass the ganja and pick up a  24 of MGD"
Reply:I have a gold lens, I think it's a #10, and I like it well enough, but still prefer my Jackson auto dark with adjustable shade. I might need to experiment with other shade numbers... Try it, you might like it.
Reply:my gold is fine, its a number nine, it makes the puddle sit there and shine...

Reply:I run only gold lens now, #10 for most MIG and TIG work, #11 for most fluxcore and stick and #12-13 if things get really crazy. I have tried a silver lens as well and it was nice, I could see through the fumes on fluxcore better than with the gold.Have we all gone mad?
Reply:I've used several of the gold lenses but really prefer the ones Harris is selling. Kinda high but boy can you see. I use a 10 for arc gouging and not much else as I really like my Jackson AD for welding. The AD sucks for gouging, lol.The difference between art and craft is the quality of the workmanship. I am an artist.
Reply:i just purchased a shade 10 ive heard so many good things so thought what the heck
Reply:The only way to fly, I have a gold #11 in my helmet, try it you will like it.Disclaimer; "I am just an a$$hole welder, don't take it personally ."

Reply:Any GOOD welding supply house will have gold lenses for around 20$ depending on the size..,,,zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:I love the gold... I learned that lesson when I was 15, never turned back.

Reply:there's an american optic gold #10  lens on ebay under WELDING FILTER PLATE for around a 100 bucks
Reply:I use the Omni View ones, they are much clearer and crisper than cheapies, and a 2x4 is still only like $12.Disclaimer; "I am just an a$$hole welder, don't take it personally ."
