So picked up some 7018 to try, had some but I gather it was more meant for DC rather than the AC buzz box as I could not get it to work.So will see how this stuff works.
Reply:I've used the Radnor E7018AC with my AC buzzbox. It worked well, I would guess that the Lincoln is comparable. The one thing I would note with it is that it does run smoother on DC and that on the AC buzzbox, set it near the upper end of the spec'd amperage. It tends to run a bit cleaner of a bead that way and at the lower end of it's spec'd amperage, it lacked penetration and the beads were a little high. On a DC machine, it worked really well at just about the mid end of the spec'd amperage.--Wintermute"No man's knowledge here can go beyond his experience." - John Lockewww.improvised-engineering.comManufacturer Agnostic:Blood----------Sweat---------Tears----|------------------|----------------|----Lincoln Red, Miller Blue, Esab Yellow |
