i bought 3 trailer plans from northern toolsthere dot plans with step by step proceduresbill of materials engineer and dot approved blue printsi got 18' x 6'8" car trailer 16' x78" landscape trailerand car dolly plans they have a lot more i had the car trailerplans laminated heres some pics Attached Images

Reply:I've looked at the Northern plans in their catalogue and thought hard about getting either the flat deck equipment trailer or one of the hyd dump trailers. Thanks for posting the picts. Looks like they are well worth the money. I expected just a cheap set with a cut list and a few notes on one page. These look like you get something for your money!Thanks for the post, Now if you could only scan them into autocad for me...... Just kidding.Edit:BTW Good thinking on laminating the plans! We used to copy all our site work drawings onto mylar at the copy store so that mud, rain, snow etc wouldn't ruin the drawings we were using on site. Made changes on the mylar with sharpies if required. Never thought about having them laminated instead. I'll have to look at how much it costs to laminate a 24x36 sheet vs copying them on to mylar. Reply:the plans a great and what i like is they give you the amount of steel you need to orderthen all you do is cut and weld i thought they would be cheep to but a northern tool store open down the steetand was able to see themoffice depot laminated them it was $50.00for 4, 24 x 36 sheet with 4 brass rings on eachone in each corner yes thats more than i paidfor the plans but they will last and i thoughtthey would look good on the wall in the shopLast edited by ed mac; 02-04-2009 at 09:34 AM.
