I've got a Millermatic 130XP and have always used .030 flux core wire in it. I do not run any gas with it. If I were to change to .035 flux core wire, I assume the tip would have to be changed out to that size but what about the tube that the wire travels through from the machine to the gun ?
Reply:Check your manual. You will likely find that 0.030" and 0.035" will use the same liner. Hope this helpsGordie -- "I believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant."
Reply:You won't have to change the liner in your mig gun. Just change the tip from .030 to .035. Next, you might have to change your drive rollers on the wire feed drive roller. Look at the rollers themselves. If they say, ".030/035" you won't have to change a thing. Although i doubt it states that on the rollers. It probably has inscribed on them, ".030." If that's the case, switch out with a ".035" roller(s). Your machine should have come with a ".025, .030 & .035" roller set. If not, you can find them at a local welding shop. It literally takes less than 10 seconds to change the rollers out.Lincoln Power Mig 216Lincoln AC/DC-225/125Miller 625 X-Treme PlasmaMiller 211 Forney 95FI-A 301HF 91110Victor Journeyman O/PMilwaukee DaytonMakita Baileigh NRA Life Member
