aluminum and stainless filler materials

Is there a reference list or chart someone can point me to that indicates which filler materials work with which base metals?

Reply:Thanks for the links and reccomendations guys - I dug up some info My Thermal Arc 185 arrived today. It was supposed to have 3 lbs of a "general purpose" 2000 and 4000 series aluminum filler thrown in, but instead came with 3 lbs of 1100   and a few lengths of 1/8" 5356.

Reply:When you are a welder you have to have reference books.There is no way you can just do it with ONLY a computer.You need both.It always amazes me that these big box stores have some welding suppliieswhich are sold mostly to beginners but they almost NEVER have even the simpilest welding handbook available.
