I bought my welder about 3 months ago used in like new condition. At the recommendation of a friend I bought a water cooled torch and a CoolMate 3 water cooler. Once I had it all in the shop I started making a cart to hold it all and make it easy to move around the shop when needed. It's made of 1.5" square tubing for the most part. I made a clamp for the argon cylinder. It turned out nice and makes changeout easy. This is the first TIG welding I have done. I'm still getting the hang of it all.
Reply:Awesome job. I hung the cooler off the side of my 180sd which was quick but it's proven awkward. I really like your design. I like how the machine is bolted down so you can still use the lift eye. Is it top heavy to roll around?
Reply:It's actually not top heavy. The front wheels are mounted to 3/8 bar that's welded to the lower frame. The rear axle has 3/8" bar that's welded into the ends of the frame tube to support it. It rolls around pretty good. I doubt it will be moved around a whole lot. The side of the shop it is in is where I do most of my metal working stuff.
Reply:I made a very similar cart for my syncrowave 350lx. I wanted to use the factory running gear, but didn't want to pay 1,600 for the factory tig cooler cart. I bought a brand new coolmate 3 off ebay for $400 and made the cart for $100. Its not as fancy as the factory one, but it is very solid, and brings the machine to bench height. Reply:nice job on the cart. I just love that crafter-series torch you got!

Reply:Dang it looks like I wasn't the only one busy this weekend. I built this cart with scrap I had lying around, you can see the outlet I added for the cooler. Kept the wheels tucked in for the space that I have plans on putting it. Still need to make the rod holders and mount them on the left side. The bottom drawer was salvaged from an old workbench that was scrapped out. The white box is a pulser unit that one of the forum members built for his 180.Kept changing my mind about putting the cooler on the bottom, but finally decided to add it on top, simply for easier maintenance. Hehe my first design I was tossing around would have been similar to yours, nice job in the build.....
