I had a 20% coupon, and decided to get one of these for the convenience. I already have tried it with 3/32 6011, 7014, and, 6013. 6011 seemed hard to start, but burned good once started. 6013 started easily and burned the best. 7014 seemed a little difficult to start, but burned ok once started. I thought this would be good for the those small jobs that only 110vac exists. I went ahead and bought the 2-year replacement warranty. It was only 34 bucks. I figure with this Chinese stuff it was probably worth if it decides to go south. Will this work with a generator?HH135 MigEverlast PowerUltra 205Century heavy duty 250dc/295ac stickA/O system, victor 450 series gauges w/cutting torch and j100 torch.
Reply:I have used the one I have with a generator. For a short period of time I worked with a company that installed and repaired steel bot docks and boat lifts. I used the 80 amp machine a few times using a generator. The machine is still going but is loaned out to a kid for some art stuff he is doing. As far as I know its still kicking.Have a nice dayhttp://www.weldingdata.com/
Reply:Check the thread(s) in the harborfreight section on this forum. I have one too. Works perfect. It loves 3/32 6013. 6011 burns good also. But i can't get 3/32 7018 to burn good with this machine.Ya gotta spend money to make money! |
