Hello folks, if you do much work with square or rectangular tube steel and require square lines across the faces of any of the sides this can sometimes be a challenge. Here are just a few ideas to tackle this sort of thing. I have included a few pictures to show these approaches. It's likely that I'll need to make a few posts to include the various items. The last picture shows why a standard square has a hard time giving an accurate line, the radius can play heck with a good reference. Attached Imagesaevald

Reply:We have some similar looking bits for our squares. I'll try to post some photos when I get back to the shop. Some of those tools you have there are not for the new guy.. he wouldnt be able to pick them up. Common sense in an uncommon degree is what the world calls wisdom.
Reply:I 100% see what you're saying.Using a regular framing type square leaves you with having to sight the line for the next mark. By the end of marking the tubing, you're off on the last line, which is also your cut line The errors multiply as you mark each side of the tubing.
