Reply:What ever works for you.  I use the right if its available.  With the positioner, its turntable for left foot, Tig pedal for right.  And yes sometimes I get confused.David Real world weldin.  When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.

Reply:I can use the torch and filler in either hand no problem, but I have a hard time pedaling accurately with the left foot.   Maybe if I spent some time driving a european right hand drive car I would get used to pedaling with the left foot!MM350P/Python/Q300MM175/Q300DialarcHFHTP MIG200PowCon300SMHypertherm380ThermalArc185Purox oaF350CrewCab4x4LoadNGo utilitybedBobcat250XMT304/Optima/SpoolmaticSuitcase12RC/Q300Suitcase8RC/Q400Passport/Q300Smith op

Reply:I can use either foot with no problems,I have had to use kness, back of knees,in between legs, elbows and just about anywhere else under a body part to apply pressure to run a foot pedal depending on what kind of rat hole you got to crawl in.I;m left handed also meaning i write letfy and hold the torch lefty and wire feed with the right, but can swap to righty but no problem just goes a tad bit slower. Now a hand control or thumb wheel just messes me up for some reason, must be because we never use them at all.Syncrowave 250Millermatic251Trailblazer302Thermal Dynamics cutmaster52
Reply:Right foot only for me.  I pretty much only drive stick shift, and my left foot is just used to going straight to the floor.  Any attempt by me to use my left foot on the brake, leaves me chewing on the wheel.BUT, the knees answer is VERY good.  I find I like it more than using a fingertip wheel control.
Reply:Well i got my pedal today and it felt a bit weird compared to no remote.I automatically put my right foot on it, to answer my own question, but have got into the habit of resting my right elbow on my knee. now i have to find some other place to put it.I tried it on 3/8" steel so i never got a good benefit from the remote, i should try some thin stuff...didn't have time.G
Reply:Both feet, knees, and the right elbow can do it, I usually hold the torch in the left hand. I ought to think about a bump switch when I save some money up!!!And then, after so much work...... you have it in your hand, and you look over to your side...... and the runner has run off. Leaving you holding the prize, wondering when the runner will return.
