Planting spade

So it has rained all spring until last week. Finally started planting. Yeah I know it's late but what can I do other than get it planted. It was going too slow. I wanted to speed up the process without all the bending over. Ran to the shop and whipped this out.Cut the spade from a scrap of plate and bent it on the press. Welded it to an old water pipe. Took about 10 minutes. The weight of the spade allows it to bury in the soil easily. Tilt it back and drop the seed down the pipe. It falls in the hole. Move forward and remove the spade. Planted my corn and beans in a quarter the time as normal. Attached Images

Reply:That's an awesome idea.  my girlfriend and I have been fighting this ridiculous WA weather too.  Ended up having to plant 2x but stuff is growing well now (except corn and tomatoes - they're slow).  Nice work, I might have to build something like that to save my gf's back next year!!Millermatic 135Syncrowave 250
