We need a good port-a-power at work and I wanted to know if anyone could recommend one or two. We're looking for a minimum of 10 tons.Thanks.
Reply:We use mostly enerpac, but have seen a few OTC on the job.
Reply:Enerpac all the way, not cheap but it'll last forever.....Mike
Reply:Thanks guys.
Reply:get one of the hf  units so you can tell us if its any good...
Reply:ENERPAC THE BESSSST! Money tho, thats all we have at work. For myself I have a cheapo china set up. Works great for me personally, but for going through multiple abusive hands enerpac is dynamite!I hate being bi-polar it's awsomeMy Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys
Reply:I have one I bought from northerntool.  It works ok.  I only use it maybe once a year, and it was way cheaper than any "good" one.Dynasty200DX w/coolmate1MM210MM VintageESAB miniarc161ltsLincoln AC225Victor O/A, Smith AW1ACutmaster 81IR 2475N7.5FPRage3Jancy USA1019" SBAEAD-200LE
Reply:Simplex is good.
Reply:OTC- Kentmoore tools is top notch
Reply:Thanks for the information guys. I just googled Enerpac and they're pricey just like ya'll stated, but built to last. This is not something we use a lot, so management will probably be blown out their chairs when I show them the price of Enerpac. I'll give them time to argue a while, then I'll give them the quotes from   Simplex and OTC.Thanks for your help.
Reply:I have a Dayton, (WW Grainger's house brand) that has proven to be incredibly tough.I'm not sure who or where the actual manufacturer is, but it definitely has the USA reliability look and feel, if you know what I mean.Good Luck
