Found these little guys last week on top of my outside steel storage rack.Earlier this week. And today.Mommy robin was nearby and although she didn't dive bomb me she definitely made it known I am not welcome. Hopefully next week they will be on their own and I can get to that 2" pipe I need.If you cant fix it with a hammer, it must be an electrical problem."Boy, everyone starts with a full bag of luck and an empty bag of experience. Reply:They look nice and cozy!
Reply:I had a wren build a nest on a shelf in a cabinet in the shop. We didn't bother her and they all learned to fly in the shop and then left. It was cool.
Reply:Birds are amazing creatures, we had mourning doves nest on our deck. We live outside in the summer and they didnt mind our constant presence only feet away. It was interesting to watch the vigilance of both parents as they never left the young unattended, taking turns like shiftwork. I've never seen any creatures grow so quickly and fly within weeks.Mourning doves http://frozenpixels.smugmug.com/Natu...7097&k=Z9LbWtRmy other photos http://frozenpixels.smugmug.com/popu...106252&k=ZfKVdLast edited by Canoe2fish; 05-18-2012 at 10:17 PM.Thermal Arc Fabricator 2101970 Lincoln RedfaceMiller 150 STLStill need a Syncrowave and a plasma and a milling machine and a lathe and a bigger shop and a....

Reply:Discovered a robins nest with the little ones in it on top of the water pump pulley when I was getting ready to use the tractor one day. If the mother hadent flowen out from under the hood when I was checking the oil, could have been nasty.
Reply:I need a good camera, I have a pair of great horned owls raising a chick in my barn. THey do make a mess but I have yet to see a single snake or rat around. When any government, or any church for that matter, undertakes to say to its subjects, "This you may not read, this you must not see, this you are forbidden to know," the end result is tyranny and oppression, no matter how holy the motives.
Reply:Every year we have 4 nests with barnswallows in them in the barn. The ceiling is only 7 ft so they are readlily visable (we have to leave the doors ajar all summer). They have been there for dozens of years, flying to south america and back. We used to sell bedding plants and it was amazing to watch the people as they swoop in to their nests right past their heads. Wonderfull to watch but messy. I love the summer when they are around, even cutting grass is interesting.Miller thunderbolt 250Decastar 135ERecovering tool-o-holic ESAB OAI have been interested or involved in Electrical, Fire Alarm, Auto, Marine, Welding, Electronics ETC to name a just a few.
