Reply:You want people who have never seen your trailer, generator, water tank to give you input on how to build the rack with no information of any kind, other than you want it from aluminum?Ok, make something to hold everything.  On top of the trailer.  Best advice I can give you.Have we all gone mad?

Reply:I don't think I would want a water tank on the roof of anything......zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:as eloquently pointed out above it is hard to say without seeing any pics of the trailer but I will say this, you need to start under the roof before you go above the above the roof.  Most hayburner haulers I have seen have basically a shell for a for a roof.Put up some 2x2 or 2x3x3/16 columns over the floor supports and tie them together with tube or channel across under the roof.  Then depending on how thick your roof is and what shape it is you may want to add plate, especially for the generator and water tank.  I don't think you are going to be able to realistically haul much water on the roof.  I would haul the water on the hitch frame in front of the trailer.  You could probably find a vertical tank that would haul as much water as the truck and or hitch can handle.

Reply:i got this project done.  the post was misleading and posted in a hurry with no description and i deserved the minor bashing i got.  it turned out great and currently hauls a generator 200 gallon water tank and 10 bales of hay.  i built it mounted through the ridge columns from the side just above the drip rails went with 1-1/2 sq tube for strength gave two inches clearance between roof and bottom of rack for debris to be blown away by wind so no build up of hay chaff.     i grew up with cattle trailers etc and have seen and done many mods to them.  i guess i just wanted to see if anybody would quick throw up some pics of something they had done without putting in the time to ask my question right.www.burdettenetworks.com
