Still on this job..http://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=120551While having coffee this AM I decided to do a little math...Let's see..There are 2 "T"S and there is 10" of weld to go all around the part X2 ends..So that makes 20"Then the angle pieces are 3" long X4 sides so that's another 12"Multiply X 350 Assys...With the trusty calculator in hand that = 11,200 Inches or 933.33 FEET!!!Anyone else ever do this for the hell of it?Maybe tomorrow I will count the "Dips" and do the math so I can really scare myself...I know I know too much time on my hands......zap!Last edited by zapster; 05-21-2012 at 04:15 PM.I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.

Reply:Yes, usually when it's automated, to see if I have time or enough wire.I figured you had a bit of a jail sentance with that one zap.I was interested in the original post and got away and forgot about it??? I call that type part a beer tab cause of the way it usually fails. It doesn't seem to matter if you fasten or weld it, the heavy section tends to shear itself through the lighter section. Tying the "T" up into the flanges just moves the problem, it's a part that is just rode hard so it would be good to know how this goes.Matt
