Is it possible to modify a welder with the notched heat setting like a hobart ironman 230, so that the heat setting is infinitely adjustable?
Reply:Infinite heat adjustment requires a bunch of electronics and would be very costly to do, even if you were an electronics engineer. I'm not aware of any pre-made modification kits for doing this. You would likely be much better off selling the welder that you have and buying a replacement that already has the infinite heat adjustment if you feel that you need it that badly.
