I welded with a hobart 10000 today, 1/8 7018 good dry rod, welding away from ground, 120 amps, 1/4 4x4 sq tube to 1/2 plate, 1/4 leg fillet all the way around. I'm getting a lot of splatter? turning the amps down isn't enough umph it needs 120 on that machine, what could be causing this? is it because there is no fine control or dig adjustment?Last edited by eyeball engineer; 05-22-2009 at 12:27 AM.
