I have a Lincoln 100HD and want to try converting it to MIG with their K610-1 conversion kit.http://www.mylincolnelectric.com/Cat...et.aspx?p=7115My question is it worth being cheap and buying the parts separately or just getting the kit with instructions? I've found the kit as low as $121 with free shipping online, but could I really save by buying the parts myself? I also downloaded the kit contents from Lincoln so I know what the part are. Reply:I can't speak for that model but I bought the kit for my weldpak 155 because I got a great deal on them. I had an older 120 volt century that I converted by just buying a soleniod valve and a regulator. This set up had the valve on th regulator. Both ways worked fine. Don't forget to switch the polarity, otherwise it's pretty self explantory.Tough as nails and damn near as smart

Reply:Lincoln had machine manuals in pdf file free download. Is it not covered in the machine manual?? If not Call Lincoln's customer service hotline. Reply:I have the Lincoln 100HD, and the only way I would convert it to gas is if I used it for a lot of sheet metal work (auto body or the like).
