I figured since I was there I would post pictures of these welds on the arch. I realize they were done from '63 to '65 but I figured they'd still look a little better than this. Reply:When I visited the Arch back in the '90's I took a similar look at it. I was most impressed by how smooth the transitions are between the stainless panels. It truly is a top level feat of engineering. I wonder what type(s) of welder(s) they used...anyone know ?
