Hello to my fellow welding community, Im a young welder age - 22 and i've been working at this company called " Steel Deck " we build many things our basic projects are Decks,. which when put together make stages / we also make stairs, rails, steps, and other custom jobs. Im working here taking in all that i can, gaining as much experience that I can.. Just wanted to share 2 things that i have taken pics of recent jobs.1st pic is the Decks 2nd pic is one type of stairs we build. Attached Images
Reply:There is nothing like a bit of fabrication jig work to get your welding beads looking nice, if you don't get one perfect then you have another 100 or so more tries, seriously that sort of work is great for improving your beads. It may get a little bit boring occassionally on long runs but you learn a lot. Keep it up. Reply:Thanks Ed. yes jig work gets boring but i try an improve everytime which this is not hard work at all. Im greatful for the experience i'm learning here tho .
Reply:Looks like ya'll do nice work & it also looks like you work in a very well organized & clean shop. A pig would find the shop I work in revolting.
