Miller welding helmets, which model?

I'm looking at getting a new helmet and I’m stuck between the digital elite or the titanium model. Which one would you get? They are only 30$ in price difference.Thanks
Reply:Titanium is usually for high heat applications, if you don't need it don't get it. As far as the Digital Elite, make sure that the model you get doesn't make you have to push the button to turn it on before you use it. With teh regular elite you don't have to.
Reply:The Titanium 9400 has an external grind control which lets you switch from a welding shade to a grinding shade through an external button.That feature alone can be worth $30 to some welders as they are frequently switching from welding to grinding.It also has a unique feature called "infotrack".  It tracks your weld time and has the current time on it as well. They are both great helmets.  If you want a cool design then the Digital Elite is your best option, but I would recommend the Titanium 9400 over the Digital Elite.  The only downside is it weighs 2 ounces more (20 oz vs 18 oz)[email protected]
Reply:I really like the external outside button for grinding. And I see the added heat protection a plus, even if I don’t need it is nice to know that it is there and can’t do anything but help. The info on the helmet also says that it has added shock absorption for the AD assembly, so again that is an added plus. Just those 3 I think are worth the extra 30 bucks.  Has anyone ever used one? As far as I can tell it’s exactly like the digital elite in fit and function?

Reply:I have the Titanium elite 9400i it has the flip up grind shield and i really like it . It's nice that ever time you want to grind or cut that you don't have to remove the helmet.
