I have a Lincoln sp125. Will be welding 3/8" Exhaust flange to thin wall tubing say .060 .Would my stock 84/16 has mix work?
Reply:I don't normally mig stainless, I tig it with argon. The 84/16 argon/co2 steel mig mix will probly work fine if this is a non-critical project, but it's not the right mix to use for stainless. It is possible you may end up with contamination and eventually a little rust around the weld areas. The correct mix is tri-mix, which I believe is argon/helium/co2, or for spray transfer, use argon/oxygen.MM350P/Python/Q300MM175/Q300DialarcHFHTP MIG200PowCon300SMHypertherm380ThermalArc185Purox oaF350CrewCab4x4LoadNGo utilitybedBobcat250XMT304/Optima/SpoolmaticSuitcase12RC/Q300Suitcase8RC/Q400Passport/Q300Smith op
