Hey guys built this table awhile ago and ive got extra material to build more took a pic put it on c list and see what happens. What do you think either (pos) or (neg) i can take it. Reply:If you make and sell something to fit into a hitch receptacle whether it's designed to be used while the vehicle is in motion or not, I'd suggest you find a good insurance carrier and be sure they'll cover this type of work.  Most won't.I'm not saying you're a bad craftsman, I'm saying in today's world you have to consider the legal issues.

Reply:Hey, I like it. You might find a way to take advantage of your unmitered corners by using the open ends as a receiver for some sort of removable attachments. I don't really have anything in mind, but that's just something that could be explored.
Reply:Now I'm picturing an arm that swings out that holds a platform for a little grill, leaving the table open for other things. Something like that could make a nice tailgater picnic table for people without a truck.I might try to build something like that myself. This is going to be big. Good thing we're in different states!

Reply:With the arm so far away from the hitch and that much weight on the end the road bumps will put alot of stress on it. Put your brace as close to the hitch as possible. Let them install it and post weight capacity on it. No different than building a trailer and selling it. The easy part is building it. I have found that the marketing is the tough part. Wife says all the time "you should sell that" i say you sell it i will build it. Give it a shot.Annamel TW9Y Georgia
