Reply:All the rod ends go in the metal scrap bin , and yes sir I am lead welder @ Geiserbros , for life , we build champions
Reply:How do you get your photos to look so artsy? The welding is dead on impressive... but there is something fancy about the photos. Special filter or something?

Reply:Exactly what I was thinking ! No disrespect!!!!  but 2 to 4 " isn't worth the time or possible contamination , plus we get money back from all our scrap
Reply:Eric, your work is amazing. I wish I could tig that well. I'm wanting to design some suspension stuff like that. But I'm worried about how strong it would be. Is there anything you can share about meterial thinkness. I wanna build it then have destructive testing done to verify before I build stuff for a customer. But i don't WANs pay for testing and find it's a flaw in material thickness, or that I could save some money and weight if it was a bit thinner. Anyway if you don't wanna devulge anything here, shoot me a pm. Or maybe we could meet up and chat.Offering CNC Plasma cutting and welding projects.Follow me on facebook https://www.facebook.com/nobigdeal.fabSupport those that support WW.
Reply:Use only chromoly , and high quality heim's / cups and rod ends from http://www.aurorabearing.com/index.htmlAnd heat treat for the most strength !!!!Use internal gussets  !!!!!anything can be designed on "SolidWorks " with the right person operating it !!!!! And build / weld everything with pride That's really all I have man !

Reply:What school for aerospace gtaw? Local? I went to a combination welding school, and learned alot, but would love more tig. I have 26 months of schooling left on my GI bill. And gotta use it up. So it would be cool to attend a local aerospace e gtaw class.Offering CNC Plasma cutting and welding projects.Follow me on facebook https://www.facebook.com/nobigdeal.fabSupport those that support WW.
Reply:I'm wanting to design a long travel suspension, for a particular truck that I know well. I'm more than capable of mig welding it, and could even tig it but my tig welds are far from your level. And all my stuff will see highway use, so I want it destructive tested, and have a WPS created, as well as having the certs needed. (based on my own WPS) I also plan on having it meet DOT requiremts. I want all aspects covered. So when some guy that looses a wheel due to bad maintenance, or his own negligence. I'll have plenty of documentation covering myself in case of a lawsuit.Offering CNC Plasma cutting and welding projects.Follow me on facebook https://www.facebook.com/nobigdeal.fabSupport those that support WW.
Reply:Yeah I only no race truck stuff , but sounds good and technical with all the legal stuff but smart , if u need anything welded hit me up
Reply:DOT is probably not going to stamp it approved. Just a guess.Since most states have laws against altered suspensions. Every guy out there has a lift kit. But if you check the laws, I bet you find a rule in there somewhere.I figured every manufacturer just included an OFF ROAD USE ONLY sticker on everything for exactly that reason.Lincoln Power Mig 210MP MIGLincoln Power Mig 350MP - MIG and Push-PullLincoln TIG 300-300Lincoln Hobby-Weld 110v  Thanks JLAMESCK TIG TORCH, gas diffuser, pyrex cupThermal Dynamics Cutmaster 101My brain
Reply:Eric, what you do is a dream job. Good on you bro! What are the quality requirements on your welds? Is there any rule  about aesthetics? I can't TIG weld even 20% as well as you do. And not to be a douche here, but I have seen a few guys make long travel suspensions and they have some GORGEOUS welds. Please don't take offense. I don't mean it that way. Do the parts get powdercoated and covered? or anything like that?Lincoln Power Mig 210MP MIGLincoln Power Mig 350MP - MIG and Push-PullLincoln TIG 300-300Lincoln Hobby-Weld 110v  Thanks JLAMESCK TIG TORCH, gas diffuser, pyrex cupThermal Dynamics Cutmaster 101My brain
