I've read posts around the web where guys were picking up the ESAB Caddy C200i for $850, but the best I could find was just under $1,000. Obviously I'd like to get it at the lowest price. I'd buy used if I could find one. Thanks,John
Reply:you might not have any luck just yet looking for a used machine, byt should be able to find on for a grand or just little north if that prive range.  Keep looking on ebay one should show up there in that price range
Reply:I bought mine for $850.00 Love it with HF .030/.035 Italy wire. (INE) The factory 10 pound wire is really nice in it too.(Alstates).These are factory remans, and probably mint condition from what I heard.  Same 3 year warranty, and 100 day satisfaction deal (I believe anyway) I bought a Esab 1600 through them.and it's on the way. I would of bought a reman from them but they were out...Need to call and check if there are any C-200. You can chat on the web, and they will check for you. Real fast that way.http://www.weldingmart.com/caddy-mig-c200i-24382.htmlThese are a great deal too. Just got to pick wire a bit more careful . Voltage sometimes is a bit tough to throttle back. The HF wire that runs so well in the 200 just is hard to dial back far enough when using C-25. CO2 it's ok. L-56 and other wires like Radnor .030 are really good. Don't let the 160 amps scare you off. It's right there with the 200 Pretty dang close.. Burns real hot, and fast. It's a deal and a half..100 day satisfaction no questions asked, would make it a no brainer. At least until a 200 comes along cheap..  Although I doubt you would want to part with it.  http://www.ebay.com/itm/ESAB-Caddy-M...item19d486f320Last edited by Brand X; 08-26-2012 at 02:09 AM.Esab/Lorch ET-220iEsab 160i caddyThermal LM-200 Lincoln feedersThermal Pee-Wee 85sThermal 60i- 3phase /RPC powered (Beast)Thermal Drag-gun 35CINE 1500 Klutch 140i
Reply:Thanks a ton Brand and also thanks for the 160 opinion, I considered that unit, but wasn't so sure. The non-LED face makes it look more rugged and I'm slightly clumsy... I fear running a pipe into the 200. LOLKinda wish you could get a case for them like the Miller Maxstars have. Thanks for the link and reply, so it took so long to respond, my laptop took a right jab and broke. My next PC will be a Tough Book.

Reply:Are you trying to help me spend money?  That gun does look much nicer though--compact & comfortable. Thanks for the pic.
Reply:btw, are you located in the US? If so, where are you buying your equipment? I've been using company equipment my entire life and have no idea where to buy equipment at good prices--online. I'm sure you have bookmarks of your favorite sites, I know I do.That's one of the worst parts of working for someone else, you never ask where it comes from, you only care that you have it. Now that I've wasted 18 years of my life and have nothing to show for it, I'm trying to do something on my own. I wish I would have invested more into myself rather than blowing money on needless things. Hindsight and all... There's no such thing as "job security" anymore.Sorry for the off topic rambling. LO
