Stainless Tube Repair..

Here are the pics of the tube that got damaged because of operator failure..After they took more off the O.D. the groove was not so wide and deep anymore..But anyway here are the repair pics..Tube..Groove after more machining..Groove after welding..The tube material is 304 so I used 308 for the fill in..Did it bend?I have no idea we will find out Monday.Maybe this got my point across about cellphones in the workplace..Not 1! person was spotted using them all day Thursday.That'll learn'em.....Maybe....zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:Looks good so far.Possibly will have some run out, flame straighten. SS moves more with less heat than steel. Seems like youngsters feel cell phones in work place is a rite, and to a lesser degree, a few of the old farts. Reply:Zap. unfortunately by the end of next week the cell phones will be back just as they were before.  I too am a firm believer in banning them inside the building, if someone needs to get in touch they should call the office.  Especially if it is an emergency, so they can verify the emergency so you can leave or attend to it in a timely manner.  Bet ya the cells are back before the 5th of Jan, unless management puts the foot down before.  Maybe a show of force by management is in order, or just start giving time off so they ca us those spare minutes and cash.BobI'm spending my Kids inheritance, I dont like him that much anyway!!!!!!Enuff tools to do the job, enough sense to use em.Anybody got a spare set of kidneys?  Trade?
