I've fixing to start buying my own fit-up tools. I fequently use things like a radius marker, two hole pins, and a pipe centering head. Most of the guys in my shop either have curve o mark or flange wizard. What is your experience with these tools and the different brands out there? Is one really better than the other?Matthew MortonTexas A&M '06Logsdon Seminary '13"Who Dares Wins""AFTF""WH2PH"SA 200 (Code: 5337)TB 302CP 302 w/22A Wire FeederMillerMatic 200Miller Syncrowave 200MillerMatic 252BurnTables 4x4 CNC MachineHypertherm 65
Reply:If your shop has a metal lathe then I'd make some of this design -http://www.realcheaptools.com/catalo...20/4721184.htmThis design is heavy enough so as to allow you to "tap" on the pin itself in order to roll a flange in the jacks. Thanks,HoboLincoln SA200's... at least 15 - 20. They come and go. Growing partial to the "Short Hoods" in my old age. Last count on Short Hoods was 13 in possession. |
