Reply:I'd keep looking on CL even though you got burned recently. If you aren't using a CL aggregator like Searchtempest, Crazedlist or some other, you probably want to try one. It will expand your search radius.I like to set my distance at 200 miles, and use "welder" as my search term. This picks up a lot if poorly worded adds that you might miss otherwise, and then I sort the list manually. 90% of the time unless I'm looking for a specific item, I seldom go far enough down the list to be more than a 45 min drive away, but some times you spot  a real hidden gem out in the boonies..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size.
