A mate of mine came into my shop with an ACDC TIG and that was his explanation of the problem. Yeah right !Took the cover off and this was what I found. He had set me up, we had a good laugh and it was late in the afternoon so we DID get some local takeaway and beer. Attached Images
Reply:So was the rice cooked on AC or DC ? Does it taste any different if you use the HF ? I suppose it cooks all the way through on DC+ and just browns the surface on DC- ?MM350P/Python/Q300MM175/Q300DialarcHFHTP MIG200PowCon300SMHypertherm380ThermalArc185Purox oaF350CrewCab4x4LoadNGo utilitybedBobcat250XMT304/Optima/SpoolmaticSuitcase12RC/Q300Suitcase8RC/Q400Passport/Q300Smith op
Reply:No DC- puts more heat into the material. Therefore that would make it cook better. Hmm this gives me an idea maybe i'll use my stick welder to cook the thxgiving meal. I'll use AC so it cooks evenly at 60hz. --Gol'
Reply:I think one of those twin-stick carbon arc torches would get the turkey done quicker...MM350P/Python/Q300MM175/Q300DialarcHFHTP MIG200PowCon300SMHypertherm380ThermalArc185Purox oaF350CrewCab4x4LoadNGo utilitybedBobcat250XMT304/Optima/SpoolmaticSuitcase12RC/Q300Suitcase8RC/Q400Passport/Q300Smith op
