Well I have been using the shop for almost a year. I have not had the time to clean up the property, so this winter while the snakes and bees are sleeping, we are gonna take care of it. Its gonna be hard, we just took on a whole bunch more service contracts, and another container yard to maintain. Here are all the before pictures: Enjoy...INSIDE WAS DONE AFTER PURCHASE, Thanks.BEFORE: http://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=39889AFTER: http://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=41740 Attached ImagesYou have to learn the rules of the game. Reply:All the containers have "stuff" in them, the only one I know what has in it is the beige one I leased from one of my customers. We have our work cut out. The 2 neighbors that live back in there are old women who really dont care what goes on. I couldnt ask for better neighbors at my shop. After pictures will come as the work does. ThanksPS: All the newer junk cars are my brothers, he scraps them for a living, just uses my lot. Hopefully we will be able to pour gravel by the spring!Last edited by jreynoldswelding; 01-02-2011 at 03:25 PM.You have to learn the rules of the game. Reply:Dang, Josh! That's a great place you have there. Looks like at least a couple of acres, no?I'll be in my new place in February, I can't wait.My new landlord stopped by the other day to check in, he's making great progress, and will probably let me start putting stuff in towards the middle of January.I've got some friends to help lined up for the move, my flat bed, a roll back, and a New Holland skid steer all lined up. Now if I can just find a great deal in a forklift I'll be good to go.I go look at a 5k cat LP machine Monday for $3500.00 but it's a hard tire machine , so I'm not too excited yet, I really want something that can handle outside work better.Anyway keep it up you're good inspiration for me. Here's to more, and more work in '11.Brian LeonardAppalachian Ironworks L.L.C.434 Long Branch Rd, Marshall, NC 28753828 649 9966828 702 [email protected]

Reply:Nice, motors scrap for more than steel, just so you know, don't let them cheat ya.
Reply:Here is what I would do first.I would measure the lot and then make a drawing.I would draw the lot, and then make a card board or paper cut out for each container to scale and then place them on the paper with the drawing of the lot. That way you can figure how to move the containers or trailers with the least amount of moves and get them all in the space with plenty of room for a tow truck to get them in and out. Sometimes diagonal parking gets more spaces.AWS certified welding inspectorAWS certified welder
