Was wondering what the pros and cons would be of running my Invertig 201 machine from a generator? Was considering getting a generator for emergency purposes and wanted to get one large enough to provide 240 voltage for the welder if it is feasible to run the tig machine from a generator. The Invertig 201 runs off a 30 amp circuit ay home.Thanks
Reply:Most inverter welders and plasmas will run on a genreator with the proper out put, volts x amps = required wattage. However some do not and your owners manual should tell you. In your case 7200 watts are needed.
