A few weeks ago someone was complaining about spatter using CO2 gas. I cant find the original post. I promised that I would take photos of the miller book showing the effect of adding inductance to the welding circuit.Notice that the lower set of photos of the bead are much smoother because of the added inductance. Reply:If your MIG does not have an inductance setting, you can add inductance by coiling the work lead around a chunk of steel. Crude, but it can help.
