I was speaking with Timothy Bradley Jr. (current WBC & WBO world light welterweight champion) a few days ago... he trains in the area. He asked me to make him an "old school down & dirty" training sled.  I had a free Saturday yesterday and pulled everything from my drop pile.  Now, the fabrication/welding is ugly and built to outlast his grandkids, but the day was great for two other reasons.  My 10-year-old nephew was here when Tim picked it up and got a 10 minute boxing lesson, AND I gave him his first ever hood time running a few beads.  That kid was grinning ear to ear all afternoon!As always, please excuse the low quality cell phone pics. Reply:I guess I send to much time in the shop growing up and not enough time playing sports but what do you do with the sled ?? and how?? Still neat project looks good and alwase good to get the young ones out in the shop!

Reply:You should tell him to cover his arms or else that red area will hurt....zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.

Reply:Zap and JR - To clarify, the kid ran less than a minute of beads trying to spell his name on the lowest tap settings on the MM210 on a piece of 14ga (amounting in essense to a few tack welds) ... Reply:Miller fabI too am going to make  sled for some MMA guys and the H. school.The MMA boys want plate steel and not runners of bent tubing.  I guess the use a parking lot and tubing gets eaten.Looks goodDave ReberWadsworth Ohio
