i recently acquired a welder with a linde MIG-35 feederit does use gas shielding, yet the old manuals say to use a MT-200 to a MT-400 torchthe torch needs to be a tweco and the trigger connect is a twist lock connectionthe current MT guns are all gasslessi found this online: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...id=p2759.l1259will that specific gun do?or which gun is best to use on this feeder?
Reply:The one you are looking at is a big one. I think I have an MT-200 used.Send a PM in interested.DavidReal world weldin. When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.
Reply:Lookie here....http://www.weldmart.com/LTEC%20225%20PAGE.htmMatch your connector to which style you have. My ESAB has a euro, but I have been thinking about another gun myself. If yours is a Euro, which I don't honestly know about the older stuff Pre ESAB but any Euro connector gun would work as long as the range is matched on the amperage.http://www.weldmart.com/LTEC%20225%20PAGE.htmEsab Migmaster 250Lincoln SA 200Lincoln Ranger 8Smith Oxy Fuel setupEverlast PowerPlasma 80Everlast Power iMIG 160Everlast Power iMIG 205 Everlast Power iMIG 140EEverlast PowerARC 300Everlast PowerARC 140STEverlast PowerTIG 255EXT
Reply:yeah, i already saw the weldmart gununfortunately my feeder is not compatible with the gun (i asked around, people said not really)well, ESAB still makes the MIG-35, it's a bundle with a welder, feeder, and gunand i need something that can handle 300 amps
Reply:just found a brochure for a esab machine, they offer the MIG-35 as an accessory to it, but the unit they show has a differing connector between the drive rolls and torchso, i guess the ebay torch will do, i just will need toe connector unit?the one they show is this big black chunk with a gas hose and power cablemine is a more "t" shaped unit with gas hose only (someone removed power cable i guess)the top says twecothe bottom of it says ak-1 by the feeder and 7 by the cable connectionesab will probably sell the torch/feeder adapter unit and appropriate drive rolls, right?
Reply:Personally, I like Euro for retrofits.Euro is what I thought I had put on the Linde feeder that I'm posting pictures of.But... When I went to the archives for a look, it turns out to have a Tweco adapter.I'm sure I installed the adapter, but I guess I don't recall the details.I couldn't find a part number on the Tweco adapter, but here's a look:Attachment 45363Attachment 45364Hope it helpsGood LuckLast edited by denrep; 10-19-2010 at 11:43 PM. |
